Efficient UV photodegradation purifier lightbox room temperature

UVPhotolytic ultraviolet lampWhat is the temperature? Will it explode?

We often encounter customer inquiries: What is the temperature of the ultraviolet lamp inside the photodegradation purifier? Will it explode? Will the temperature be too high when more than 100 sets of lights are on simultaneously in a photolysis device? Will the water vapor in the exhaust gas explode when it passes through?

According to the principle, UV photolytic UV lamps belong to low-voltage UV tubes, emitting low-voltage UV light. That is to say, the lamp itself does not generate heat, and the lamp head will generate a small amount of heat due to the current. Moreover, the optimal working temperature for UV lamps is between 30-40 degrees. The number of light tubes installed in the equipment is determined by the overall design of the equipment, including air volume, concentration, environment, and other factors. An important point is that in the installation of on-site equipment, the photolysis equipment is generally interlocked with the fan. When the fan is turned on, it generates airflow, and the photolysis equipment is turned on simultaneously. This can generate some temperature for the photolysis lamp tube, which will also be carried away by the airflow. Therefore, regardless of how many lamps you install, the temperature of the photolysis chamber can generally be controlled around 30-40 degrees. So, the heat issue of UV photolysis tubes can be ignored in actual on-site operations. But if high-pressure mercury lamps or high-pressure metal halide lamps are used, their power is generally high, and the emitted light source also contains a large amount of infrared bands. The temperature of the lamp tube itself can reach 80-600 degrees Celsius or above. So we will go through lampshade, quartz lenses, and fan treatment, and the UV room temperature is generally controlled between 30-60 degrees according to the surface requirements of the processed object.

So which processes produce exhaust gases that contain a large amount of water vapor during treatment? For example, food processing plants, pesticide series, some chemical plants, as well as the production of fish bone powder, and so on. The waste gas generated by these processes contains a large amount of water vapor, and traditional catalytic combustion methods are generally used. However, this treatment method requires huge investment and is mainly used to treat high concentration, low air volume, especially waste gas with excessive water vapor concentration. Compared to other methods, UV photolysis photocatalytic oxidation has the advantages of small footprint, low energy consumption, and low investment. It is mainly used to treat industrial waste gases with high air volume and low concentration. In other words, for our professional manufacturers of photolysis equipment, if there is a problem of high water vapor, pre fogging or drying treatment can be carried out.

Regarding the issue of UV lamp tube explosion, firstly, the lamp will not produce this self explosion phenomenon. Because the tube material of the lamp is quartz glass, which has a high hardness, it will not rupture or burst without strong external collision or impact. If the exhaust gas contains large particles of solidified substances, it is recommended to first undergo pre-treatment adsorption and then go through the photolysis chamber, which is better to avoid danger caused by strong impact of large particles on the lamp tube body due to excessive air flow.

But in on-site equipment, it is important to pay attention to the copper needle insert in the lamp head of the UV photolysis lamp tube! Because that is where the power supply passes through, if the lamp head is also exposed in the UV photolysis chamber, the situation will be very different. Firstly, if there is dust accumulation or dirt covering the copper needle insertion part, it is easy to generate electric sparks. If the treated exhaust gas is a flammable and explosive gas, it is prone to explosion. So, in the process of making equipment, the lamp head generally needs to be separated from the photolysis chamber, and the lamp head shock pad can be used (specifically applied to large round head H-tube photolysis lamps):

1、 It can avoid direct contact between the ceramic lamp head and the metal shell of the equipment, providing shock protection.

2、 The shock-absorbing pad has a sealing effect, so that the gas from the UV chamber will not penetrate into the power box.

The shock-absorbing pad for the lamp head is a user-friendly configuration designed by the company for large round head H-tube photoluminescence lamps. At the tail of the lamp tube, a safety rubber sleeve (made of materials that are resistant to high temperature, UV, aging, and oxidation) is installed to protect the tail of the lamp tube, avoiding direct contact with the metal shell of the UV lamp tube and providing shock protection.
